4 Months

This is a bit late due to vacation and a late Well Check Up but better late then never!

Stats

Height, Weight, & Head: 18.1 pounds (98%) and 26 1/2 inches (98%).

Clothes: 6-9 month  Size 3 diaper

Eating: We are still nursing every 3-4 hours. All mommies milk, yay!

Sleeping: The last month has been rough in this area. She would wake up every 1.5-3 hours at night...ugh! Naps have been the same 2 longer naps and 1-2 short naps. Still sleeping in swing, carseat or with mommy for naps and in the rock and play sleeper at night.

Adventures: Lots if excitement this month! We went to the sing a long at the library's park with our friend Scarlett. Celebrated the 1st 4th of July at the Berkeley Marina, went on many walks and experienced our first plane ride to South Dakota! Needless to say Aubrey for a little spoiled while at the grandparents.

Playtime: This month Aubrey loves chewing on everything! She discovered she loves plastic water bottles, and playing with puppies!

Likes: Still likes Eating, sucking on her hands, sitting up, standing and story time. Plastic water bottles, puppies, and making noises "talking".

Dislikes: The booger sucker, not moving in the car and being hungry or tired. She also does not like being left alone she loves to be engaged with people.

This month Aubrey had an MRI done to make sure her spine developed properly because of a skin tag on her butt. Everything was clear but poor little girl had to be sedated for it. I am so glad that is over with!

Milestones: We rolled for the first time this month! Also getting more vocal noises. She rode like a big girl in her stroler. I just love watching her personality develop.

Sing a long at the park

Today we went to the park just outside the Mountain View Library for their summer kids concert/sing a long. Aubrey had such a good time, she sat and stared at everyone, smiled and even sang along a few times! :)

I think we will try and go every week we are in town. It was such a great event!

3 Months

We are already 1/4 of the way to a year...crazy!

Stats

Height, Weight, & Head: No doctor appointment for official stats but we weighed her at home and she weighed 17 pounds....big girl!

Clothes: We are still in 3-6 month clothes.

Eating: We are nursing every 3/4 hours during the day. We have gotten our feedings down to 20 minutes..yay!

Sleeping: We are still sleeping great at night with a stretch of 5-8 hours and then another 3-4 hour stretch. We usually don't go to bed until 11pm at night( too much like her daddy!). For naps we are starting to transition to 2 a day. She takes 2 longer 1-2 hour naps and then 2 cat naps that last anywhere from 20-30 minutes.

Adventures: Not as many adventures this month. Mommy had her gallbladder out so we were stuck home for a few weeks. We did have Gammy come visit, that was a lot of fun! We had MOPs and went to one park date but she slept that whole time. We got to celebrate Father's Day with daddy and friends. We also went to our first movie, at church on the lawn. Aubrey had her first Harry Potter movie day, she loved it and was talking to the screen the whole time she was awake! This month we also got to meet mommy's cousin Andy who was in town visiting. Our fist swim happened this month as well! We love swimming.

Playtime: This month Aubrey loves sitting up, "talking", playing on her play mat, bouncing and standing on mommy and daddy. She likes bright lights and toys that make sounds.

Likes: Eating, sucking on her hands, sitting up, standing and story time. She also likes going for walks and hanging out in the moby wrap. She also loves, loves her taggie blanket!

Dislikes: The booger sucker, not moving in the car and being hungry or tired.

This month brought our first cold, she took it like a champ and was never cranky!

Milestones: Working on happy screams and rolling over! She Does not have them figured out just yet but getting close. We are also working on hand coordination.

3 months is going to be an exciting time with our first plane ride, meeting lots of family and baptism! Looking forward to a fun busy month.

Our First Father's Day

It has been so fun watching Wyatt be daddy to Aubrey. He is so sweet and patient with her when she is screaming. I love watching them play together and look forward to seeing there relationship grow!

We celebrated the day by sleeping in and then going to church(super late!). After church we went to the Gupta's for a BBQ. We had lots of fun hanging out and eating good food. We then got to video chat with Grandma Laurie and Grandpa Wayde. Aubrey was very chatty with them!

It was a great day and we enjoyed celebrating Wyatt, my Dad and Wayde!

Mommy and Me Monday

My last day at my internship! I am so glad  to be done with my internship, it seems like it has taken forever. Once I finish my last class in August I will officially be a graduate...woohoo!

First Swim

Today Aubrey went swimming for the first time. I was very anxious on how she was going to react, I love swimming and I wanted her to enjoy it as well. I am happy to say she did not hate it!

I don't think she really knew what to think at first, she was not upset she just seemed content. After a few minutes she started to give me a few smiles. We worked on her kicking her feet in the water, we did bounces and spun around in the water.

I am looking forward to many more swims this summer!

Weekend Happenings

Another productive and relaxing weekend in the Walter household.

Saturday I went for a much needed hair cut and pedicure! It was so relaxing I may have even fallen asleep during the shampoo. :) Aubrey and Wyatt went for a long walk while mommy was gone. We then just napped and hung around the house. We watched a movie Saturday night which was so much fun.

Sunday we headed to church and then lunch with friends. After church we napped some more and then worked on stuff around the house. We took down the pack and play since Aubrey doesn't use it anyways, we have so much more space in our room again!

That was our weekend...kind of boring but just the way I like it!

Mommy and Me Monday

Here is Aubrey and I getting ready for story time. Today we read If I Only Had a Green Nose by Max Lucado. I love his books about the Wemmicks, and they have such great lessons.

Weekend Happenings

After last weekend in Tahoe it was nice to just be at home to relax and catch up on things around the house.

Friday night we went out to eat at SF Boudin and then came home and watched a few shows.

On Saturday I went to a big garage/consignment sale. I got some good deals on clothes for Aubrey in the next size up. I also got her a jumpy exasaucer for her to use in a few months. She loves to jump when I am holding her on my legs so I think this toy is going to be a big hit! Plus it was only $15 can't beat that.

Then we just hung around the house, did some laundry, got out some summer pants and took a 2 hour nap on the couch. It was a great mixture of productivity and relaxing!

On Sunday we went to church, out to lunch with friends and then video chatted with both grandparents. It was a nice relaxing weekend, I was sad to see it end. I can not wait to be done with my internship so I can just spend everyday with my monkey!

2 Month Update

Our little monkey turned 2 months today! It is hard to believe how fast the time is going, I feel like it was just yesterday we brought her home.

Stats

Height, Weight, & Head: 24 inches, 13 pounds 6 ounces and head is 15 1/4 inches.

Clothes: We officially switched over to 3-6 month over the weekend! I was a little sad she is getting so big, but I do get a whole new wardrobe for her. :)

Eating: We are nursing every 2.5 - 3 hours during the day. She seems to be getting more efficient so it is not taking as long....yay!

Sleeping: She is doing great at night, we usually get one 5 hour chunk of sleep and then a couple 3 hour stretches. She is sleeping in her rock and play sleeper in our room at night. Her night time feedings are pretty quick and then she is right back to sleep. Her naps are not the greatest during the day, we usually put her in the swing and she will nap in there for 30-45 minutes then will finish her nap in my arms(totally fine by me!). If she does not get a long enough nap her whole day gets thrown off and she gets super cranky and does not sleep well the rest of the day. She also sleeps really well in her carseat if it is moving so I like to run errands during naps.

Adventures: Lots of adventures this month! We went to San Fransisco a couple of times with Aunts Kelli, and Nicole. We went on our first big road trip over Memorial Day weekend to Lake Tahoe. She did great! I was a little nervous about the 4.5 hour car ride but she was such a champ. We stopped to eat once and let her play a little and she only was fussy a few times. It worked best if I was sitting with her in the back seat, luckily I did not get car sick..PTL! We had a lot of fun and hope to do more trips in the future! We also had many trips to MOPS, and went on walks around the park.

Hanging out on the deck of our cabin.
Being silly at the mini golf course.
Visiting the painted ladies.

Playtime: Aubrey's favorite thing to do is hang out in her Boppy pillow and kick and "talk". She loves to look at her surroundings and gets mad if she can not see. She has discovered herself in the mirror and will smile or talk to it. Mommy and daddy are loving this stage!

Likes: Eating, Mommy (she has a hard time if mommy is not holding her when she is cranky), Smiling, and Looking at her surroundings.

Dislikes: The booger sucker, not being able to see her surroundings, and being hungry.

Poor little monkey also had to get shots this month. So far they have made her really sleepy and a little cranky. Mommy stayed home with her and just cuddled all day!

Milestones: She started "talking" and cooing!

It has been a great month, so excited to see what this month brings!
